Choco-Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup fresh almond milk

2 tablespoons cacao powder

1 &1/2 cup mixed frozen raspberries (or strawberries)

2 tablespoons honey 

2 tablespoons lemon juice3

1 medium sized banana

Directions:

For your choco berry smoothie, blend all the ingredients in a high speed blender for 30 seconds or until a creamy consistency is reached.

Serve immediately!

Strawberries are the only fruit that have their seeds on the outside. The heart shape of a strawberry gives you an indication of one of the body parts it benefits the most. Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamins C and K as well as providing a good dose of fibre, folic acid, manganese and potassium. The vibrant red colour of strawberries contains powerful antioxidants and are thought to protect against inflammation, cancer and heart disease.

Green Smoothie Recipe

Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 bunch Kale
3 oranges
2 carrots
1 stalk celery
1/4 inch ginger
Filtered water (if creating a green smoothie)

Directions:

Add all ingredients in your Super Blender with water.
Blend on high until smooth or as desired.

Kale is an ‘all in one’ vegetable. It is low in calories, rich in fibre and has zero percent fat on the one hand, on the other hand it contains high levels of iron, potassium, calcium, vitamin A and C and powerful antioxidants. The combination of these different elements prevents diseases, boosts the immune system, stabilises cholesterol levels and aids in weight loss.

Oranges are known to be one of the richest sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight diseases such as the common cold and flu. Due to the high water content and natural sugars, oranges hydrate your body while increasing your energy levels. They are also rich in soluble fibre which lowers cholesterol, potassium which is good for the heart, dietary fibre which combats constipation. For the skin, the antioxidants in oranges protect the cells from damage keeping your skin young and fresh.

Carrots are the number one vegetable recommended for eyesight due to the high content of beta-carotene and vitamin A, which improves eyesight. Carrots are also rich in antioxidants which fight cancer causing free radicals, these antioxidants also slow down the ageing process and finally beetroot on its own contains fibre, Vitamin C and B. It also contains minerals copper, magnesium and potassium. It is also a good source of iron.

Banana Smoothie Recipe

Banana Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup (240 ml) soy milk
1/2 medium banana, peeled
1 thick slice pineapple (80 g) with core, halved

Directions:

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
Select Variable.
Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
Blend for 25-30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. Serve Immediately.

Greens are very important for healthy bodies. They taste even better when blended into a smoothie. Our going green smoothie is the perfect start for starting or continuing your journey to health. This blend puts together the right balance of  sweet and sour with just the right touch of cool.

Ingredients:

120 ml (½ cup) water
170 g (1 cup) green grapes
85 g (½ cup) pineapple, peeled, cubed
½ banana, peeled
60 g (2 cups) spinach
70 g (½ cup) ice cubes

Directions:

For your going green smoothie, place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
Select Variable 1.
Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.

Sweet Avocado Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 and ½ cups apple juice
A small avocado (pitted)
1 large pear (quartered and seeded)
6 dates (pitted and dried)
1 cup ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
Select Variable 1.
Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10 then to high.
Blend for one minute or until desired consistency is reached.

Pink Smoothie Recipe

Pink Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 medium banana, frozen
½ large beet, peeled and cut into cubes for easier blending
¼ avocado, peeled and pitted
2 cm fresh root ginger, peeled
1 cup water, depending on desired consistency
1 cup kale or spinach (optional)
Optional sweetener (1 handful dates or 2 tablespoon honey)

Directions:

Place all of the ingredients into your Vitamix in the listed order and select the variable 1.
Slowly increase speed to variable 10 and blend until the smoothie has a soft-serve ‘ice cream’ consistency.
Pour into a glass.
Enjoy!

Orange and Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

2 avocados
2 tablespoons cacao powder
8 dates (pitted)
Juice of 2 oranges + zest for topping

Directions:

Place all the ingredients in a Super Blender and blend till smooth and creamy.
Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy straight away.
For a thicker texture refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
