Did you know?

Ginger root is well known as a remedy for travel sickness, nausea and indigestion and is used for wind, colic, irritable bowel, loss of appetite, chills, cold, flu, poor circulation, menstrual cramps, dyspepsia (bloating, heartburn, flatulence) and gastrointestinal problems such as gas and stomach cramps.

Nature’s very own tooth brush, apples stimulate the production of saliva, reducing the bacteria in the mouth while reducing tooth decay. Apples are also rich in soluble fibre, stabilising sugar levels, reducing mood swings and lowering cholesterol levels.

Lemons are very good for you, they contain vitamin C, B6, A, E, folate, niacin thiamin, riboflavin, copper, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc and protein. With all this goodness, lemons are recommended for throat infections, indigestion, constipation, high blood pressure and can be applied externally for skin problems such as acne.

Oranges are known to be one of the richest sources of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight diseases such as the common cold and flu. Due to the high water content and natural sugars, oranges hydrate your body while increasing your energy levels. They are rich in soluble fibre which lowers cholesterol, potassium which is good for the heart, dietary fibre which combats constipation. For the skin, the antioxidants in oranges protect the cells from damage keeping your skin young and fresh.
